We are committed to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of art and its role in society, and to making the Gallery a welcoming and inclusive place for all members of the community.

The Gallery draws upon a wide range of teaching staff for its educational programs. In addition to the professional educators and curators on staff and the scholars and artists invited for special lectures and other events, trained Yale University undergraduate and graduate students facilitate visits for children and adults.

Gallery Guide Guide

This new publication documents the core values as well as the operational nuts and bolts of the museum’s nationally renowned Gallery Guide program. Authored by former coleaders of the program Sydney Skelton Simon and Molleen Theodore, the Gallery Guide Guide is intended as a resource for museum and academic colleagues who are looking to start or refine student-guide programs or seeking inspiration for engagement strategies more generally.
