Inscriptions

采采流水，蓬蓬遠春。窈窕幽谷，時見美人。碧桃滿樹，風日水濱。柳陰路曲，流鶯比鄰。乘之愈往，識之愈真。如將不盡，與古為新。 綠林野屋，落日氣清。脫巾獨（脫字：步），時聞鳥聲。鴻雁不來，之子遠行。所思不遠，若為平生。海風碧雲，夜渚月明。如有佳語，大河前橫。 乾隆五十一年（1786）丙午□□日錄司空表聖詩品二則。允良。\r\n\r\nSeals：\r\n允良、（另一印不識）；李維洛鑑藏印、藍塘書屋 \r\n\r\n 司空圖《二十四詩品》的“纖穠”。Xian Nong。\r\n 司空圖《二十四詩品》的“沉著”。Chen Zhuo。\r\n Yun Liang, ?, Li Wei Luo Jian Cang Yin, Lan Tang Shu Wu.\r\n\r\nTranslation:\r\n\r\nWonderful are the sounds of running water;\r\nLively is the sight of the far [late] spring.\r\nCharming is the deep valley [where I pass by];\r\nAnd occasionally a beauty there I see.\r\nPeach blossoms adorn all over the trees;\r\nThe wind and sun reside by the waterbanks.\r\nIn the willow's shadow the road is curvy;\r\nFlying nightingales soar side by side.\r\nThe more closely I approach this beautiful sight,\r\nThe more truthfully I recognize its scenery.\r\nIt's as if there is no end to this discovery,\r\nWhere eveyr ancient piece [written by a past poet] can as well be seen [and written] anew.\r\n\r\nIn the green fir trees lies hidden the wild hut,\r\nA glow of the setting sun makes the air seem clearer.\r\nI take off my turban and walk there alone,\r\nAnd occasionally hear the chirping of birds.\r\nThe birds carrying letters have not yet arrived,\r\nAnd the ones I care about are still faraway on journeys.\r\nBut those who I think of cannot be too fat away,\r\nIt's as if I'm still interacting with them in a daily life.\r\nThe sea winds sweep across the green-blue clouds,\r\nAnd on the sand isaldn at night there is a bright moon.\r\nIf now some line of quality can be uttered out,\r\nIt will be as if the great river is flowing in front of me.\r\n\r\nTwo poems from the Sikong Pictures
