In the struggle for the class and national liberation of the working people of our country, we have developed our own symbolism, which achieves clear expression with red flags and revolutionary recruiting songs and posters. Precisely this revolutionary symbolism became foundational for the creation of the crest, flag and anthem of the first socialist state in the world. \r\nThe State crest (emblem), the State flag (banner) and the National anthem (musical-poetic or musical composition) are the symbols of the state. \r\n\r\nThe main idea underlying the foundation of the Soviet federation, can be expressed by this widely recognized formula: without a strong Union, there are no strong republics, and without strong republics there is no strong Union. \r\n\r\nFrom the Platform of the CPSU "National policy of the Party in contemporary conditions," adopted by the September Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the CPSU of 1989. \r\n\r\n[so this series must be from 1989]\r\n\r\nLL: 12
