Inscriptions

Greek Inscription translates to: "Courageous Bouraidis, no one is immortal, son to (of) Zourazios, shoe-maker, of the fatherland of Thrace of the city of Andrinople (Hadrian). Bouraidis died within seven years and six months and one day and five hours. The newly enlightened one died and then rests. Courageous Reba, daughter of Markianus, your brother Bouraidis rests close to you"\r\n\r\nFrench translation of inscription from "Journal Asiatique" XIX (1922) translates to: Courage Bouraidis, personne n'est imortel, fils de Zourazios, caligarius, de patrie de Thrace, (nutif) de la ville d'Adrinople. Bouraidis est mort a sept ans, six mois, un jour et cinq (heures), il est mort nouvellement baptise et ici repose. Courage Rebou, pres de toi repose ton frete Bouraidis, o fille de Marcien.
