An annual compilation of themed essays and Gallery news, the Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin publishes original scholarship on works in the Gallery’s collection. The 2018 Bulletin focuses on recent acquisitions, including exceptional Roman and American numismatic material; a ballet costume designed by Henri Matisse; stunning Indonesian puppets; a unique artists’ book gifted in honor of the museum’s outgoing director Jock Reynolds; and much more. Essays by Gallery curators and fellows, as well as outside scholars, showcase the exciting research that the museum’s ever-growing collection continues to inspire.
