Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin 2017

An annual compilation of themed essays and Gallery news, the Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin publishes original scholarship on works in the Gallery’s collection. The 2017 Bulletin focuses on recent acquisitions. Subjects include stunning Berber textiles; an extraordinary contemporary sculpture by Sarah Sze; works across media from 18th- and 19th-century America; two different Mesoamerican sculptures of animal figures; and much more. Essays by the Gallery’s curators, conservators, and fellows in addition to outside scholars showcase the wide-ranging research approaches and ongoing interdisciplinary collaboration at the Gallery.
