A new installation of Wall Drawing #681E by Sol LeWitt (1928–2007), a recent gift, greets visitors in the Gallery’s lobby. The dynamic wall drawing in color ink washes was originally created for a 1996 exhibition at the Sala de las Alhajas, Madrid, in continuation of the artist’s iconic series Lines in Four Directions. Following visual and textual specifications by LeWitt regarding the work’s ink formulas, application processes, and color combinations, three artists completed the installation over a period of 15 days.
