The 2010 exhibition catalogue Embodied: Black Identities in American Art from the Yale University Art Gallery, a collaboration among students from Yale University and the University of Maryland, College Park, is one of the many out-of-print publications now available through the Gallery’s new Online Access project. This initiative, which vastly expands the reach of our award-winning publications, will make available more than five decades of research and scholarship via free PDFs on our website. In addition to providing renewed access to many foundational texts that had fallen beyond the reach of researchers, scholars, and students, the ADA-compliant PDFs offer sight-impaired readers full access to our publications for the first time. When the project is complete, more than 125 catalogues—featuring artwork in all media, from all regions of the globe and across time—will be available online.
