The Yale University Art Gallery is proud to announce its receipt of a grant from the Getty Foundation’s Paper Project initiative and a major gift from the Windgate Foundation. The Getty Foundation grant will support a workshop on new approaches to early modern works on paper, led by Freyda Spira, the Robert L. Solley Curator of Prints and Drawings; Liliana Milkova, the Nolen Curator of Education and Academic Affairs; and Marisa Bass, Professor in the Department of the History of Art. The $1 million gift from the Windgate Foundation will establish an endowed fund for the acquisition of contemporary craft by living artists. The fund will be known as the Windgate Foundation Fund for Contemporary Craft.
