Provenance

Provenance

It was the understanding of the donor that Polly Lada-Mocarski designed the mirrors. Gisela Noack, the Chief Conservator of the Universitiy Libraries, and a long-time friend of Polly's recalled that Polly had the mirrors made, based loosely on her and her husband's physiques, for their apartment in Crown Tower when they moved there some time in the 1960s. The mirrors were given to the donor by Polly's assistant, when Polly moved from the apartment into a nursing home.
