Artist's seal under signature; censor's seal: Nanushi, Yoshimura; Publisher's seal: Kogaya Katsugoro

Inscriptions

Right bears inscription in cartouche, "Hanmoto no konomi (ni) makase Hokuso'o ga kozu no amayadori ni narote" [Responding to what the publisher desires, in the style of an old theme "Sheltering from Sudden Shower" by Hanabusa Itcho (1652-1724, whose pseudonym was Hokuso'o)"

Signed

R: Middle right; C: lower right; L: lower right. Left and center prints signed Oju Toyokuni ga; right print signed Kochoro Toyokuni ga. "Oju" in this case is not a part of Toyokuni's name, but it means "responding to the request". Toyokuni IV = Kunisada II. All three prints have a set of four seals: 2 censor seals of "Muramatsu" and "Yoshimura", a red circle, and a publisher's seal. Need further investigation of the publisher.
