Provenance

From a volume of caricatures executed by Ghezzi in Rome and possibly also at the court of Charles, King of Naples, between 1734 and 1759 (the title page of the volume is dated 1780), the volume remained in the Spanish Royal Collection until the Battle of Vittoria in 1813; seized by Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (1813); by descent to the 7th Duke; voumes dis-bound in 1971.
