Obverse Description: "FRANCISCVS.D.G.R.I.S.A. G.H.REX.LOT.BAR.M.D.ETR." Bust of Francis I r. crowned with laurel leaves, Under bust an image of a stork (mintmark).

Reverse Description

Reverse Description: ".IN.TE.DOMI NE.SPERAVI." Crowned, double headed Eagle with halo over each head, holding a sword in r. talon and a scepter on the l. talon. Superimposed on the eagle, a crowned Coat of Arms. Surrounding the Coat of Arms is the border of the Order of the Golden Fleece. "17 PISIS 48" in exergue.
