Obverse Description: TWO is written on the left side of the note vertically, and /TWO/ appears in scrollwork in the top right and bottom right corners. /RICHMOND, FEB 17TH, 1864/ is above /TWO YEARS AFTER THE RATIFICATION OF A TREATY OF PEACE BETWEEN THE CONFEDERATE STATES AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA/, which is above /THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA/ WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND/ TWO DOLLARS/. The centre of the note has /2/ in scrollwork and the centre right has a bust l. of Judah Benjamin.
