Obverse Description: /TWO YEARS AFTER/THE/RATIFICATION OF A /TREATY OF PEACE/BETWEEN/THE CONFEDERATE/STATES/AND THE/UNITED STATES/OF AMERICA/ around an image of a battle. Printed vertically on the note is the word /TEN/ and in the top right corner there is 10 in scrollwork. In the bottom right corner is a bust r. Below the image, the note reads /THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA/WILL PAY TEN DOLLARS TO BEARER/RICHMOND/FEBRUARY 17TH 1864

Reverse Description: TEN is written in scrollwork on the blue background. TEN in type is in the top and bottom centres of the note.10 in scrollwork is in each corner of the note.
