Obverse Description: Purple decorative border with diagonal "100" in each cornerpiece, ALLIED MILITARY CURRENCY across bottom border. ISSUED IN ITALY in circular medallion to either side of center. In middle, 100 LIRE inside purple hexagonal vignette. SERIES OF 1943 A / ONE HUNDRED LIRE in small print at top l. and CENTO LIRE / SERIES OF 1943 A at bottom r. Background of radiating blue pattern.
