Obverse Description: Vertical composition. At top of note in medallion lies Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire, composed of double headed eagle with sceptre, globus cruciger and crown. To the l. and r. of this image lies "10" in medallion, hanging from vegetal decoration that connects these medallions with central medallion. Vegetal bouquets hang from "10" medallions. Between these vegetal bouquets, "GOSUDARSTVENNYY / KREDITNYY BILET / DESYAT' RUBLEY"; Below this text in smaller text, "GOSUDARSVENNYY BANK RAZMENIVAET KREDITNYE BILETY NA ZOLOTUYU MONETU BEZ OGRANICHENIYA SUMMY (1 RUBL' = 1/15 IMPERIALA, SODERZHIT 17, 424 DOLEY CHISTAVO ZOLOTA"; Below this text, "UPRAVLYAYUSHCHIY" and "KASSIR" with signatures; At bottom of note lies "1909" in plaque; In bottom corners lies "10" in medallion; In the background of note behind the main text in fainter colour lies large "10" in medallion; Background of note is mostly light red / pink .
