In medallions to l. and r., TWO YEARS AFTER / THE / RATIFICATION OF A TREATY OF PEACE / BETWEEN and THE CONFEDERATE / STATES / AND THE / UNITED STATES / OF AMERICA. Below central vignette, CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA; below, in various fonts and cursive, Will pay to the bearer on demand /TWENTY DOLLARS. (Signed) C. Percival FOR REGISTER and S. McCants FOR TREASURER. In small print at bottom, Keatinge and Ball, Columbia, S.C. Central vignette of southern mansion; at lower r., vignette of Alexander Stephens. at l. edge vertically in print "TWENTY."
