Obverse Description: TWO YEARS AFTER / THE / RATIFICATION OF A TREATY OF PEACE BETWEEN/ THE CONFEDERATE / STATES/ AND THE / UNITED STATES/ OF AMERICA surrounds an image of the state capital house in Nashville, TN, with a man and a woman standing in front of the house. TWENTY is written down the left side of the note against an ornate background. 20 is against an ornate background in the top right corner of the note. bust r. below the number. THE/ CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA/WILL PAY TWENTY DOLLARS TO THE BEARER/ ON DEMAND/ RICHMOND FEBRUARY 17TH 1864 is above two signatures and /FOR REGISTER/ and /FOR TREASURER.

Reverse Description: 20 is written in each corner in blue ink. TWENTY is in the centre of the note and is against an ornate blue background.
