Eagle and shield motif on the lower central field, flanked by portraits of Washington and Columbus 'COLUMBUS' and WASHINGTON' below respective bust ; with a scene depicting the signing of the Declaration of Indepencence above. Inscribed on central ribbon: WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION / 1892 / 1893. In central lowest field: CHICAGO.

Reverse Description: DISCOVERY OF AMERICA / DEC. 1620 / LANDING OF THE PILGRIMS. Scene of the discovery of America in the with landing of the pilgrims in December 1620 below. "October 1492" inscribed on central ribbon.
