Obverse Description: At top and bottom, THE UNITED COLONIES. At sides, CONTINENTAL CURRENCY THIRTY DOLLARS. In center l. circular field with legend SI RECTE FACIES and wreath on grave. In center r. THIRTY DOLLARS THIS BILL ENTITLES THE BEARER TO RECEIVE THIRTY SPANISH MILLED DOLLARS OR THE VALUE THEREOF IN GOLD OR SILVER, ACCORDING TO A RESOLUTION OF CONGRESS, PASSED AT BALTIMORE, FEBRUARY 26, 1777 and signatures.

Reverse Description: At top, THIRTY DOLLARS. At center r., circular field with legend VI CONCITATAE and storm on the sea. At center r., circular field with legend CESSANTE VENTO CONQUIESCEMUS and sun shining on a calm sea. Below, PRINTED BY HALL AND SELLERS.
