Obverse Description: Pelseneer in profile, facing left; towards the bottom of the left side, in small print written vertically from bottom to top, is the name of the engraver: "C Devreese." Below the profile is the following legend: "L'Academie Royale de Belgique/a son Secretaire Perpetuel/Paul Pelseneer/1919-1936" -- "The Royal Academy of Belgium, to its Secretary in Perpetuity, Paul Pelsneer, 1919-1936."
