The legend reads: "SON EMINENCE LE CARDINAL MERCIER/ARCque DE MALINES/PRIMAT DE BELGIQUE" "HIS EMINENCE CARDINAL MERCIER/ARCHBISHOP OF MALINES/PRIMATE OF BELGIUM."

Reverse Description: Christ on a cross, wearing the crown of thorns, defended by a lion. Bottom right is the signature of the engraver: "J.P. LEGASTELOIS." Legend is bottom: "RESURRECTION."
