Obverse Description: Three maidens in classical garb; maiden to the right holds up a sword, and maiden to left extends her open palms. Legend reads: "L'ARMEE BELGE REJOINT LES ARMEES ALLIEES/14 OCTOBRE MCMXIV" (The Belgian army rejoins the Allied armies; October 14th, 1914).

Reverse Description

Reverse Description: A man in toga, holding a sword in his right hand, supports himself hwith his left hand on a wall; in the background are crags and a tower. Legend reads: "ANVERS RETIENT/SEPT DIVISIONS ALLEMANDES/22 SEPTre 10 OCT 1914" (Antwerp holds back seven German divisions/September 22 October 10th 1914). Bottom right is signature of engraver and date: "Paul Wissaert 1921."
