Obverse Description: GEO: WASHINGTON. 1776 above equestrian figure of Washington in uniform, on an eminence, head facing; in the distance appears a city (Boston), and to the right the American encampment; to the left a battery. Dentilled rim.

Reverse Description

Reverse Description: SIEGE OF / BOSTON / 1775-6 in three lines (with first and last line curved to envelop middle line), within a wreath of olive branches tied by a bow, and connected at the top by a drum, two flags, and a stack of arms grouped; below the wreath in a curved line, LOVETT'S SERIES NO. 2 PHILADA: Edge reeded.
