Join Rebecca Szantyr, curator of the exhibition Seriously Funny: Caricature through the Centuries and the former Florence B. Selden Senior Fellow in the Department of Prints and Drawings, and Anna Russell, Museum Assistant in the Exhibitions and Collections Departments, for a discussion about the humor, power, and enduring relevance of political cartoons. Russell, who has contributed comics to the Op-Art section of the New Haven Independent and collects and draws images of stress dreams (www.stressdreams.com), shares some of her creations and leads visitors in a cartoon-making exercise. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Seriously Funny: Caricature through the Centuries.
