In-Person Program, Performance, An Evening of New Music

The Yale Undergraduate Chamber Orchestra actively commissions, workshops, and performs original works of undergraduate composers. In addition, we fill our season with projects that foster collaboration within the Yale arts scene at large. Among these is an annual concert of student-composed chamber music, creating a unique opportunity for undergraduate composers and performers to collaborate with one another. This year, in partnership with the Yale University Art Gallery, we have commissioned student composers to write pieces in response to works of art on view. Join us for an evening of world-premiere performances, followed by a stroll in the galleries to see the objects that inspired them. Generously sponsored by the Martin A. Ryerson Lectureship Fund.
