According to Mr. Kossack's notes, this spoon may have been owned by Betsy Gibbons, who was born in East Granville, Mass. in 1787. She named Orrin Ranney of Middltown, Conn. in 1810. After his death she married his brother Reuben in 1817. Betsy died in Elizabeth, N. J. in 1882.
