At public performances of the National Anthem of the USSR, the audience must listen to the Anthem standing up, and men must take off their hats or hold their hands up to them. \r\nFrom the Resolution about the National Anthem of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics\r\n\r\nThe performance of the National Anthem of the USSR in military units, on military ships and vessels, as well as saluting the military honor of servicemen through the performance of the Anthem as regulated by military regulations. \r\n\r\nThe National Anthem of the USSR is sung on holidays: May 1st, May 9th, November 7th , Constitution of the USSR Day, anniversaries of the Soviet Army and of the Navy Fleet, at reviews of the Armed Forces, types of troops, but also on holidays for units and formations at the end of the evening roll-call of personnel. \r\nFrom article 198 of the Rules for domestic service of the Armed Forces of the USSR\r\n\r\nWhen the overall regimental evening inspection is carried out to the end, the "Dawn" orchestra performs the National Anthem of the USSR while the personnel sings. \r\nIn our anthem lies the greatness and the glory of the country, the honor and dignity of the people. Each one of us is required to know the anthem and to comply with the rules of conduct in minutes, when the words and music sacred to all Soviet people can be heard. \r\n\r\nBy all means of ideological work it is necessary to cultivate deep respect for the National Anthem of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and to inculcate the feeling of sacred duty for the defense of the socialist Fatherland. \r\n\r\nLL: 11
