The archive houses materials relating to the excavations at Dura-Europos (present-day Syria) by Yale University and the French Academy of Inscriptions and Letters. This includes drawings, plans, and photographs of the artifacts and structures unearthed at the archaeological site between 1928 and 1937.

Gerasa Collection

The archive includes drawings, plans, and photographs documenting the artifacts excavated at ancient Gerasa (present-day Jordan) by Yale University, the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem, and the American Schools of Oriental Research between 1928 and 1934.

Israel Sack, Inc., Archive

The archive holds records of objects sold by the firm of Israel Sack, Inc., during its nearly 100 years of operation. Its detail images and bibliographic information are drawn from the original photographs and materials that the Sack firm produced for its books and to advertise its furniture.

The James J. Ross Archive of African Images (RAAI)

The James J. Ross Archive of African Images contains approximately 5,000 photographs and pictorial representations of African art published between 1590 and 1920. The RAAI is a rich collection of historical data and images extensively catalogued and annotated.

Rhode Island Furniture Archive (RIFA)

The Rhode Island Furniture Archive documents furniture and furniture making in Rhode Island from the first European colonization in 1636 through the early 19th century. It brings together records of surviving furniture, the individuals who owned it, and known furniture makers.

The Van Rijn Archive of African Art (YVRA)

The largest photographic digital database of African art, the Van Rijn Archive features some 150,000 images of art from Africa south of the Sahara. The images are drawn from private and museum collections, personal and national archives, and a wide range of publications.
