Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin 2008

An annual compilation of themed essays, exhibition highlights, and Gallery news, the Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin publishes original scholarship on works in the Gallery’s collection. Written by Gallery curators and outside scholars, contributions vary in length from extended studies to brief notes. The 2008 Bulletin explores the recently accessioned collection
of Richard Brown Baker, B.A. 1935, with essays examining Baker’s archives
and journals as well as particular works in his collection, including those by
Roy Lichtenstein, Georges Mathieu, and Robert Rauschenberg, among others. Additional articles provide in-depth analysis of an array of Gallery artworks from ancient times to the present.
