Jessie Park, the Nina and Lee Griggs Assistant Curator of European Art, joined the Gallery in April 2020. She specializes in 16th- and 17th-century Netherlandish art, with a secondary area of expertise in the visual culture of transpacific exchange from the late 16th to the early 19th century. From 2016 to 2019, Park served as the Rousseau Curatorial Fellow in European Art at the Harvard Art Museums. She has worked on the exhibitions Looking East: Rubens’s Encounter with Asia at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and Face to Face: Flanders, Florence, and Renaissance Painting at The Huntington in San Marino, California, where she also curated the 2013–14 exhibition Crossing the Alps: Artistic Exchange and the Printed Image in Renaissance Europe. She holds a PH.D. from the University of Arizona, an M.A. from the University of California, Riverside, and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
