This collection of bottles and flasks was formed by the donor's grandfather, James Ernest Cooper (1873-1942) in the 1910s, 20s, and 30s. Cooper was a graduate of Yale (class of 1895) and the Harvard Law School. He lived in New Britain, Conn., where he practiced law, served in the State Legislature, and then worked for the Stanley Works.
