Lucia Ruggles Holman (1793–1886) and Dr. Thomas Holman (1793–1826), Hawaii, then Boston, then Bridgeport and Brookfield, Conn., by about 1821; by descent within the family to her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ives Bassett (born ca. 1880) and Bassett’s husband, Harrison F. Bassett (born ca.1880), probably Connecticut, (on loan to the Bishop Museum, the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, 1918); given by Harrison F. Bassett to the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, Conn., 1941 (on loan to the Yale Peabody Museum, New Haven, Conn., 1941–2015, and 2023–25)
