Note 1: According to the Royal Athena Galleries, Female Figure was purchased from Dr. Silverman in 1986, and that the object was previously with the “Pepper” and “Barth” Collections (email from Alan Eisenberg to Megan Doyon, April 2021, curatorial object file). No further information is available on the Pepper and Barth Collections. Research into the ownership history of Female Figure is ongoing.
