Obverse Description: ENSE PETIT PLACIDAM SUB LIBERTATE QUIETEM. INDEPENDENCE /State of the Massachusetts Bay: N: 450 L 15n 10 Feb 1778/ RECEIVED of Thomas Craft Sign. the Sum of Fifteen pounds for the Use and Service of the State of Massachusetts-Bay, and in Behalf of said State, I do hereby promise and oblige myself and Successors in the Office of Treasurer, to repay to the said Thomas Craft or Bearer, by the first Day of March, A.D. 1782, the aforesaid Sum of Fifteen pounds, with Interest Annually at Six per Cent. per Annum.
