ca. 1795/96
Watercolor on ivory, with natural and chopped hair, applied ivory (funerary plinth), gold wire, and applied pearls, in gold-over-copper locket. On reverse, small inset compartment containing hair overlaid with gold cypher "SM." Later brooch pin added on back.
5 1/2 cm, 2 3/16 in in diameter.
