Obverse Description: In corners lie "1". At top center of note lies "ODIN" in medallion. Below this, In decorative border, lies the text, "BILET GOSUDARSTVENNOVO BANKA SOYUZA SSR"; to the l. of this text lies the State Emblem of the Soviet Union; Below this in certain of note lies, "ODIN CHERVONETS" with larger "ODIN" in background; Below this in very small print, "BANKOVSKIE BILETY OBESPECHIVAYUTSYA ZOLOTOM, DRAGOTSENNYMI METALLAMI I PROCHIMI AKTIVAMI GOSUDARSTVENNOVO BANKA". To the r. of central text lies oval portrait of Lenin. To the l. of central text lies "1" in medallion.

Reverse Description

Reverse Description: Decorative border some distance from edges of note encloses illustrated part of note. In center of note in medallion lie large "1" with small "1937" in plaque below the "1". To the l. and r. of central medallion lie translations of 'one chervonets' in the ten official languagues of the USSR. On the l. and r. sides of bill lie "1" in medallions. At the bottom of the bill in rectangular enclosure, "ODIN CHERVONETS".
