Obverse Description: In upper l. corner, “250 MILS” in Greek and in upper r. corner “250 MIL” in Turkish , overlapping leaf pattern across top and bottom margins and vertical vine and grape pattern on r. and l. margins. In l. medallion 3 fruit (oranges?), in r. medallion Cyprus coat of arms with dove of peace above 2 olive branches, KENTRIKE TRAPEZA TES KYPROY / KIBRIS MERKEZ BANKASI / DIAKOSIA PENTHKONTA MILS / IKI YUZ MIL / 1.12.1964 / (Signed) for DIOIKETES – MUDUR. In central vignette is a crown with shafts of wheat behind in red and green. On bottom r. corner is map of Cyprus. Printed in blue ink. Greek Writing in l. and Turkish in r.

Reverse Description

Reverse Description: Across top and bottom of the field a line of interconnected wagons. Central lanscape image is of a copper mine (?) with stylized drills (?) flanking r. and l. CENTRAL BANK OF CYPRUS at center. On lower l. medallion with flower pattern "TWO HUNDRED / AND / FIFTY / MILS" inscribed.
