Sale # 18189, lot number 2142.
Nick J. Poolos, Chicago, acquired in the 1950s-60s, worked with friend Ruben Gonzalez in Mexico collecting objects from digs and working with dealers in the 1950s. In the 1960s and 1970s, started selling his collected art in NYC, working with the Field Museum to authenticate and Identify art.In the 1980s and 1990s did appraisals for clients worldwide, retired from all this in the 2000s. In early 2000s diagnosed with cancer and died in 2011.
