Reverse Description: DISCOVERY OF AMERICA above; on banner dividing field, OCTOBER 1492; at bottom, LANDING OF THE PILGRIMS around and DEC. 1820 horizontally above. In upper field, Columbus standing l. raising sword with r. and holding large banner in l. facing large Crucifix. To l. of Crucifix four Spaniards standing, one kneeling, and one prostrate; behind him three kneeling, one bowing; in background on l. three ships at sea, and on r. five Indians in native dress.
