Gallery+Tangled Up in Blue

Youths stand in a row and sing, with one at left holding a guitar. A crowd of seated onlookers is seen from behind. Behind the singers is a large, round, blue painting showing a procession of figures.

Tangled Up in Blue, Yale’s premier American folk-singing group, presents a performance at the Yale University Art Gallery. The performance offers a selection of songs from different eras to accompany the museum’s collection of American fine and decorative arts. Gallery+Tangled Up in Blue is offered as part of a series commemorating the country’s 250th anniversary.

Gallery+ is an ongoing series of collaborations that invites responses to the Gallery’s collection through special programs and performances.
