Join author and meditation teacher Tosha Silver, B.A. 1978, and Roksana Filipowska, the Wurtele Study Center Programs and Outreach Manager, for a mindful experience focusing on Alexander Calder’s Mobile (ca. 1935), which is installed in the Margaret and Angus Wurtele Study Center at Yale West Campus. Pairing mindfulness meditation with close looking, the virtual session will explore Calder’s approach to art making as “poetry in motion.” No prior experience of meditation is necessary. Generously sponsored by the John Walsh Lecture and Education Fund.
