Adult and Community Groups

The Gallery offers free, hour-long guided tours to engage adult and community groups with its encyclopedic collection. Led by Gallery teaching staff, these tours provide visitors with a range of ways to look at, engage with, and enjoy works of art. Groups are also welcome to plan a self-guided visit, based on availability. All groups must register at least three weeks in advance.

Guided Tours

These tours focus on four to six key works in the permanent collection from across curatorial departments. The experience is discussion-based and encourages visitors to look closely, ask questions, and talk about what they see.

Groups of 10 to 15 people can schedule guided tours based on availability at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Reservations are available October through August and must be made three weeks in advance.

Note: If you would like to schedule a visit for a school or youth group, please make your request here.

Self-Guided Visit

If your group prefers to visit the Gallery without the guidance of our teaching staff, you may schedule a self-guided visit. Self-guided visits may be scheduled at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. All groups of ten or more must register at least three weeks in advance. Acceptance of your reservation request is based on availability. Groups who show proof of registration at the Information Desk will have priority in the galleries. Unregistered groups may be asked to return at a later time. This policy is designed to provide a pleasurable learning experience for everyone, and to ensure the safety and security of both museum visitors and art objects. To schedule a self-guided visit, please complete and submit the registration form.

Weekly Drop-In Tours
