Rights and Reproductions

The Yale University Art Gallery is pleased to participate in Yale University’s open-access policy, which offers access to digital representations of works in the public domain from museum, library, and archive collections on campus. Thousands of images of public-domain works in the Gallery’s collection are available for immediate download through the Gallery’s website. Simply search the collection, and use the download link beneath any image you would like to download.

No permission from the Gallery is required to use these images.

To download open-access images, simply click the download link beneath the display image in the individual object record and select either a presentation-size image or a full-size, publication-quality image.
