Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin 1994

An annual compilation of themed essays, exhibition highlights, and Gallery news, the Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin publishes original scholarship on works in the Gallery’s collection. Contributions vary in length from extended studies to brief notes. The 1994 exhibition An Obsession with Fortune: Tyche in Greek and Roman Art provides the subject matter for the Gallery’s 1994 Bulletin. Archaeologists, architects, and art historians from Yale and abroad discuss Tyche, the ancient goddess of luck, and her depictions in sculpture and coins of the era. The catalogue of the exhibition is also included in the Bulletin.
