There are all kinds of ways to be inspired by and interpret works of art.
Collaborations offers a place for people to work together to realize projects that take works in the Gallery’s collection as a starting point.

We have an open submissions policy and encourage people to think in cross-disciplinary ways. For more information, please contact Anna Hammond at 203.436.4664 or anna.hammond @yale.edu.

Gallery Quest: The Alternative Audio Guide
to the Yale University Art Gallery

What is art and why does it matter? Everyone has a different story to tell, and the graduate student arts and literature magazine, Palimpsest, has gathered some good ones. The Gallery supported the editors of Palimpsest in their inspired quest to create an unofficial audio guide to the collection, which is available to download as MP3 files. Just click on the link below and discover some interesting tidbits, observations, remembrances, and laughter. It’s fun and full of surprises. Mrs. Butterworth even makes an appearance. Lots of new ways to think about art. Enjoy. The Gallery supports new interpretations of great works of art.
