The book front title on a separate, newer sheet of paper says, "Nishiki Hyakunin Isshu, Shunsho ga" (polychromed [painting of] one hundred poets with poem [by] Shunsho). The inside back cover of the book bears a pasted sheet of paper stating, "Gazu (painting), Buyo [present Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa area] Ririn Katsukawa Yusuke [i.e. Shunsho]; Chokoku (carving), the same [i.e. Buyo] Inoue [the bottom third of the page is torn and the name is missing.]"\r\n\r\nThe vertical left half bears, "An'ei 4 [and cyclical dating; 1775] Moshun (the first month); Shorin (publisher), the same [i.e. Buyo] Koishikawa Dentsuin mae (in front of the Dentsuin at Koishikawa), Kariganeya Gisuke."\r\n\r\nThe last vertical line reads, "Saishikizuri (polychrome prints) Sumizuri (ink monochrome prints) Ryohin shutsurai [or pronounce as shuttai] (both types have come out)."
