Note 1: The platter has a history of ownership in the Dwight family. Augusta Dwight Ferris was the daughter of Theodore Dwight (1796–1866, YC 1814) and great-niece of Timothy Dwight (1752–1817, YC 1769), the eighth president of Yale College (1795–1815).
