Obverse Description: Two nude women recline, and between them stands a woman, arms defiantly crossed, wearing a crown. In the background is a river, an aqueduct, and mountains; to bottom left are the initials "MM" and the engraver's signature: "P Thenus." Legend is: "NAMUR BRAVE LES AUTRICHIENS"/"4-25 AOUT 1914" [NAMUR DEFIES THE AUSTRIANS/August 4th-25th, 1914]

Reverse Description

Reverse Description: A standing and a sitting soldier, both with rifles, watch troops marching into a city from a docked ship; at bottom right is the signature of the engraver: "P Theunis." The legend is: "SA GARNISON DEBARQUE A OSTENDE//2 ET 3 SEPTEMBRE/1914." (Its garrison lands at Ostende/September 2nd and 3rd, 1914).
